ACAS-WSA 2027 — Call for Abstracts and Clinical Case Reports

Original research abstracts must be written in clear English and structured into the following mandatory sections:

1. Title: (Max. 200 characters.)
2. Background/Objectives: State the study rationale, hypothesis, and primary objective. (Max. 1000 characters.)
3. Methods: Outline the study design, patient population/sample size, intervention or diagnostic criteria, and statistical methods. (Max. 1000 characters.)
4. Results: Present primary and secondary endpoints with quantitative data, point estimates, confidence intervals, and p-values. Abstracts stating “results will be presented/discussed” will be rejected. (Max. 1000 characters.)
5. Conclusion: State the main clinical or scientific takeaways derived directly from the presented data. (Max. 1000 characters.)

Case reports must present rare clinical conditions, novel procedural techniques, unusual complications, or key diagnostic insights. Submissions must be structured into four sections:

1. Title: (Max. 200 characters.)
2. Introduction: Briefly state the clinical scenario and the specific educational value of the case.
3. Case Summary:
   • Patient presentation — Reason for admission/consultation, past medical history, physical exam, medication at the time of admission. (Max. 2000 characters.)
   • Initial work up — e.g., ECG / laboratory analyses / X-ray / echo. (Max. 2000 characters.)
   • Diagnosis and management — Further investigations and/or treatment. Differential diagnosis / how the authors decided the management plan / if appropriate, refer to ESC guidelines and indications. (Max. 2000 characters.)
   • Follow-up — Clinical outcome / any complications. (Max. 2000 characters.)
   • Conclusion(s) — Take home messages / Learning points. (Max. 2000 characters.)
4. Learning Points: (Max. 900 characters. Please state here the main teaching point(s) / take home message(s).)
